Be Forgiving of Other People's Mistakes

OH JUST SHAKE HANDS ALREADY!

You don't need to hold on to your pride. Sometimes, to get things clear, you just need to forgive, forget, and move on.

Don't Abuse Your Power

STOP ABUSIVE POWERS!

You may be "famous" in any kind of social networking sites, but you must remember this. It's just fame, not power. Sure fame can make you powerful but in just a little amount of time. And if you still got your power, don't abuse it. People will start hating you for it.

Respect Other People's Privacy

PRIVATE PROPERTY!

TRESPASSING IS NOT ALLOWED.

Imagine this, your everyday life is known by somebody. It seems that he wants/needs to know everything about you. Suffocating, isn't it? RESPECT. Respect is what we need. Everybody has their own spaces for their own.

Help Keep Flame Wars Under Control

WARNING: FLAME WAR AHEAD!

Flame wars are little fights only-- well, sometimes big. There are times that we encounter these kind of stuff. If so, don't just ignore it and NEVER JOIN THEM! Instead, let the people calm down.(I really don't know what to do)

Share Expert Knowledge

SHARE YOUR BLESSINGS!!

When you know something, don't brag about it. Instead, go to a site that centers that certain topic and share your knowledge. If people ask, don't be shy to answer them. You're an expert with it, right? Then show them.

Make Yourself Look Good Online

Be GOOD =))

Social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter are open to the public-- its users I mean. In Facebook, you have friends-- may it be a thousand or not-- meaning they can see what you've been doing online. They may or may not know you personally but what you do online lets them make impressions of you. So please be good.

Respect Other People's Time and Bandwidth

Time is Gold

Time is GOLD. Never expect everyone to be always online. Never expect them to always reply to your messages. They have time for that. For now, you should just do your own business and wait for that person to have time for you.

Awe.. Seenzoned =(

Know Where You Are in Cyberspace

You're Not The Only One

You're not the only one. You're not the only one in Cyberspace. You are not its center of attention, so don't start posting stuff and expecting for everyone to like it or comment, okay? They have their own businesses and you have your own.

Remember The Human

Remember the Human

Even though you're kilometers apart from someone, it doesn't mean you can just tag or send a message to that someone. Remember that he/she is only human. They have their limits. You, you're a human, right? And you don't want a random person to tag you in a random post, right? You don't want to get involved especially when you don't even know what he/she's posting about. You have friends that interpret little things wrong. That would be a mess!!

Netiquette

What is netiquette?

Net+etiquette=netiquette

That explains almost everything. Netiquette as taught by Sir Tom, is a set of rules to be followed online. It helps us to behave "politely" (sorry. I ran out of words)in social networking sites such that of Facebook and Twitter. We don't want to violate any rule, do we?

These are the set of rules for us to follow.

Rule #1 Remember the human.

Rule #2 Behave online as you do in real life.

Rule #3 Know where you are in cyberspace.

Rule #4 Respect other people's time and bandwidth.

Rule #5 Make yourself look good online.

Rule #6 Share expert knowledge.

Rule #7 Help keep flame wars under control.

Rule #8 Respect other people's privacy.

Rule #9 Don't abuse your power.

Rule #10 Be forgiving of other people's mistakes.
